Recap supports connecting to Crypto.com using our API integration.

This allows Recap to automatically import your transaction history and keep your account up to date.

This guide will walk you through creating an API key on Crypto.com and connecting it to Recap.

Step 1: Create an API key on Crypto.com

  1. Log in to your Crypto.com account at https://crypto.com/ then click your account icon at the top right.

  2. Click Manage Account.

  3. Click the API Management tab.

  4. Click the blue Create a new API key button.

  5. Enter a label for your API key (for example, Recap), then enter your 2FA code and click Create API.

  6. Your API key has now been created. Please copy the Secret Key, as you’ll need it to import the key into Recap during Step 2.

⚠️ Important:

  • Ensure that the Enabled Withdrawal and Enable Trading settings are OFF.

  • Keep these credentials secure. You won’t be able to view the secret again after leaving the page.

Step 2: Add your Crypto.com account to Recap

  1. Open Recap and navigate to the Accounts screen.

  2. Click Add account in the top-right corner.

  3. Select Connect to Exchange API followed by Next.

  4. Choose Crypto.com Exchange then click Next again.

  5. Name your account (e.g., "Crypto.com Exchange") and click Next.

  6. Enter your API Key and Secret Key then click Next

Recap will now verify the connection and begin importing your transaction history.

Step 3: Review your imported transactions

  1. If your history is large, the initial sync may take a few minutes to complete.

  2. Navigate to the Activity screen.

  3. Check that deposits, withdrawals, trades, and transfers appear correctly.

Once connected, Recap will automatically keep your account up to date.

Managing your API connection

  • You can view or remove the connection at any time from the Accounts screen.

  • If your API key expires or is revoked, you’ll need to create a new one and reconnect it in Recap.

Troubleshooting & common issues

  • Invalid API key or secret
Double-check that all details were copied correctly and without extra spaces.

  • Missing transactions
Some platforms limit how far back API data is available.

  • Permission errors
Ensure the API key has read-only permissions enabled.

Security notes

  • Recap only requires read-only API access and therefore cannot move funds or place trades.

  • API connections are encrypted and can be revoked at any time from the Crypto.com website
