Adding your Crypto.com Account

A step-by-step guide for adding your Crypto.com account to Recap

Recap supports integration with Crypto.com via CSV files. Once set up, the Recap application will categorise all of your transaction history and calculate your tax position.

Step 1 - Download your CSV File from Crypto.com

Crypto.com enables you to download two CSV files that contain all of your transaction history Recap needs to calculate your taxes. (Recap does not require a CSV file for your Crypto.com visa card).

πŸ’‘ If you preview your file in a spreadsheet editor like Microsoft Excel please do not resave it before uploading to Recap. Automatic formatting changes may occur that make the file unrecognisable to our software.

Step 2 - Create your Crypto.com Account in Recap and Upload your CSV

  1. In Accounts, click the Add Account button, then select Upload Exchange Statements, then Crypto.com.

  2. Give your account a name and click Next.

  3. You'll return to Accounts, where you now have an empty Crypto.com card.

  4. Click the Settings Cog and then Import Crypto.com CSV.

  5. Click Browse to find your CSV file and then click Import.

Congratulations, your Crypto.com transactions are now in Recap!

⚠️ Crypto.com is currently in Beta

This means that not all of the usual Recap features are available for Crypto.com quite yet. For example, you cannot reclassify your transactions. We will be adding these features in the future.

Troubleshooting & Common Issues

  • Opening CSV files in spreadsheet software can cause import failures: apps like Excel or Numbers may reformat dates and values without any indication. If your import fails, try again with the original downloaded file.

  • Missing Transactions: Check if the full transaction history is included in the exported file and verify the date range.

  • Duplicate Transactions: If importing multiple files, make sure there's no overlap in the date ranges.
