A step-by-step guide for adding your Gemini account to Recap

Recap supports direct integration with Gemini via read-only APIs. Once added, the app will pull in all of your transaction history and set up a real-time connection to your account.

Step 1 - Create a new Exchange Account on Recap

In Accounts click the "Add Exchange Account" button, then select "Gemini" from the dropdown. Click Next and give your account a name.

Step 2 - Log into Gemini to create your API Key and Secret

  1. Go the Gemini API Settings Page and click "Create API Key"

  2. Select 'Primary' as your scope and click "Next"

  3. Under "API key settings" tick the "Auditor" box. This gives Recap read-only access to your transaction history.

  4. Make a note of your API key and API secret somewhere safe as you will not be able to see the API secret again.

  5. Click "Create API key"

Step 3 - Back in Recap, fill in your key and secret, then click next

Congratulations, Gemini transactions are now in Recap.
