How to convert date formats in Google Sheets
Using a blank spreadsheet, paste in the dates that you to need to change and then follow these steps:
Highlight the dates you want to convert.
Click on the 'Format' menu, then select 'Number,' followed by 'Custom date and time.'
In the window that opens, you may need to remove any existing format rules. To do this, left-click on the existing rules and select 'Delete,' or click in the dialogue box and press backspace on your keyboard.
Enter new formatting rules that match one of the supported Recap formats by clicking the down arrow and selecting the appropriate Date or Time components. Remember to manually type any required characters (such as '-', ':', '+', 'T', 'Z') or spaces in the dialogue box between the relevant date and time components.
Once you have selected all of the components, left-click each of them to open an option menu. Select the options to include a leading zero and the full numeric year as appropriate.
Click 'Apply,' and your dates should automatically update to the new format!
