Recap supports direct integration with Bitfinex via read-only APIs. Once connected, the app will pull in all of your transaction history and set up a realtime connection to your account.
Step 1 - Log into Bitfinex to create your API Key and Secret
Hover over Your Account and select API Keys > Create New Key
The default options are read-only permissions, ensure that you have selected the same options as below:
Name your key (bottom right) and click "Generate API Key"
You may need to enter your 2FA code to continue.
Check for an email from Bitfinex. In the email, click the "Create API key" button to confirm that you requested a new key.
Your key has been created and is visible at the top of the page.
As the warning states - make a record of this and keep it safe as you will not be able to see the secret again.
Step 2 - Connect to your Bitfinex Account in Recap
In Accounts, click the Add Account button, then select Exchange API, then Bitfinex.
Give your account a name.
Enter the API Key and API Secret that you made a copy of earlier.
You're good to go! Your Bitfinex account is connected!
You should now see an account card for Bitfinex in the Accounts view where your data will be retrieved.
