An account group brings related accounts together as one card, with a combined value and holdings. Each account keeps its own transactions and settings, such as date ranges and balance reconciliation. You can open the individual accounts from the group.

For example, using the same wallet address on Ethereum, Base and Polygon means having three accounts in Recap. You can show them together in a group called "My MetaMask". You can also group other kinds of accounts, such as Bitcoin and Ethereum accounts from one hardware wallet, or an exchange account and a CSV account covering its earlier history.

You choose which accounts belong together, and an account can belong to one group at a time. Grouping does not merge transactions. Accounts in a group do share one state, active, archived or ignored, and an ignored account's transactions are left out of your figures, so check the state changes Recap shows you before confirming.

A group can watch an Ethereum-style (EVM) wallet address to help you discover accounts across networks. Recap checks for activity on supported EVM networks and shows you networks where you may need to add an account.

Watching finds networks; you choose which to add. Recap creates an account, and starts importing that network's transactions, only when you add it.

A group can watch several addresses. An address can be watched by only one group at a time. Moving the watch to another group does not move the existing accounts with it.

Bitcoin and Solana addresses cannot be watched through this feature. Add those accounts through the usual Add account flow; they can still belong to a group.

Recap creates one account for each selected network and adds them to the group. The group watches the address for future checks, even if it contains only one account.

The list offers only networks with detected activity that you do not already have an account for, and you need to select at least one of them to finish. To group accounts you already have without adding another, use the grouping options below.

The received only label means the check found activity without detecting outgoing transactions or a deployed contract wallet. This can happen when someone sends you unsolicited tokens. A detected network can also be unticked because Recap could not confirm whether the address sent transactions.

An unticked network can still hold activity you need to include, so check the results against your own history and tick anything you want to add. Recap might tick Ethereum and Base, for instance, and list Polygon unticked as received only. You can add Ethereum and Base now, or tick Polygon too if you want to include it.

On the Accounts screen, Group accounts shows suggestions for standalone EVM accounts sharing an address. Review the names and ticked groups, then confirm the groups you want. Not now dismisses the offer; you can return to Group accounts later. Accepting a suggested group also starts watching its address unless another group already watches it.

To choose your own combination, select the accounts on the Accounts screen and choose Group. To select an account, hover over its icon to reveal a checkbox, or right-click the card and choose Select; once anything is selected, clicking a card adds it to the selection. You can also open one account's menu and choose Add to group. Either way, choose an existing group or New group. When a new group shares an eligible address, you can choose Watch this address for activity on other networks and Check for other networks now.

For an eligible standalone EVM account, Convert to multi-chain wallet creates a group with the account's existing name, starts watching its address and runs an initial check. Other network accounts are offered for review, not added automatically. This option is unavailable if the account is already grouped or another group watches its address.

Open the group, then select the button beneath its name showing network icons and an address or address count. This opens the addresses panel. A group without addresses offers Watch an address instead.

For each watched address, the panel shows:

When several networks show Activity found, Add all ... and Ignore all apply to those suggestions. Received-only networks remain separate choices.

To add a network Recap has not detected, use Add account, choose the network yourself and enter the address. Accept the offer to add it to the group, or use the new account's Add to group menu afterwards.

Ignoring a network suggestion is different from ignoring an existing account or group. It remembers that you do not want that network suggested for this watched address; it does not change existing accounts. Later checks do not automatically undo that choice.

Recap checks a watched address when you sync its group or choose Check now. Sync all on the Accounts screen checks groups with accounts included in the current view, so filters affect which groups are checked.

Watch in the addresses panel saves an address for checking, and Check this address starts watching an unwatched EVM address already in the group. In both cases, choose Check now to see its networks.

If you later use the same address on another supported network, a subsequent check can flag the missing account. The same applies when Recap enables an additional EVM network for this feature. Review the result and choose Add to include it. An account already elsewhere in your portfolio is shown as existing, rather than offered as a duplicate.

Successful results may be reused for up to an hour, including when you choose Check now, so very recent activity can take time to appear. Checks cover the EVM networks enabled in the app, and detection can miss activity or fail on an individual network. If a network you use is missing, retry later or add it manually.
