HyperCore vs HyperEVM
Hyperliquid is made up of two chains, and Recap imports each one differently.
HyperCore is the exchange, where trading happens. In Recap this is an exchange API account: choose "Hyperliquid (HyperCore)" from the exchange list and connect with your wallet address. No API keys are needed, and we never receive a private key. See our guide: Adding a Hyperliquid (HyperCore) Account.
HyperEVM is a standard EVM chain (similar to Ethereum or Polygon) used for on-chain activity. In Recap this is a wallet account, added with your public address - that is what this guide covers.
HYPE is the native asset on both, and you can move it between them using the official bridge, so it's perfectly normal to have activity on each. Recap matches these bridge transfers between your two accounts automatically.
To capture your full history, you'll usually need to add both: your HyperCore account for your trading, and your HyperEVM wallet for your on-chain transactions.
With Recap's dedicated Hyperliquid (HyperEVM) integration, adding your wallets to Recap is easy — just enter your wallet addresses, and Recap will automatically sync your transactions.
Step 1 - Gather your public wallet addresses
Recap allows the import of Hyperliquid (HyperEVM) transactions by address. You can paste multiple addresses at once, and Recap will create a separate account for each address.
Step 2 - Create your Hyperliquid (HyperEVM) account in Recap and copy and paste your public wallet addresses
Login to Recap and head over to the Accounts Screen.
Click "Add account" at the top right.
Select "Crypto Wallet".
Select "Hyperliquid (HyperEVM)".
Enter your addresses and click Next.
Name the account.
Congratulations! Your Hyperliquid (HyperEVM) wallet will now be synced with Recap!
Step 3 - Verify your wallet data
Check Transactions:
After syncing, Recap begins importing your wallet transactions. Check the dashboard to ensure everything looks correct.
Compare Balances:
Verify that the Hyperliquid (HyperEVM) balance Recap shows matches the balance in your actual wallet.
Automatic Updates:
Recap automatically detects new transactions.
If you added only a single address, you may need to add more if you use multiple addresses to receive funds.
Troubleshooting Tips
Double-check Your Address: Typos can cause missed transactions or import errors.
No Transactions?: Confirm you’re using an address that has actually been used.
