What is an exchange CSV account?

An Exchange CSV Account allows you to import your exchange transactions into Recap using CSV files downloaded from your exchange. Simply export a file containing your transactions and import it into your Recap account.

As you make additional transactions, you’ll need to periodically download a new file from your exchange and import it into Recap to keep your data up to date.

Each new import will replace all previous data in the account. This prevents duplicate transactions and saves you from having to manually filter out unwanted data.

Some exchanges allow you to download all historical data in bulk, while others may limit the export to a specific time period or number of transactions. We recommend keeping a "master" spreadsheet, updating it with new data each time you download from your exchange.
