Sharing your data with Recap Support

Instructions on how to share your data with our Support Team

Occasionally our Support Team may need to take a closer look at your data to diagnose an issue. Recap provides a secure way to share your data with our team.

Start sharing your data with Recap Support

  1. Sign in to Recap and ensure that you have backed up your recovery phrase and verified your email.

  2. Choose 'Settings' and scroll down to 'Agent Sharing'.

  3. Optionally, edit your name. You can choose to leave this as-is if you prefer.

  4. Enter 'support@recap.io' and press Send Invitation to start an invite.

5. Recap Support will receive and accept your invitation.

6. You'll receive an email stating that it's been accepted.

7. Finally: Return to 'Settings' > 'Agent Sharing' and press 'Authorise' to complete the share.

How do I stop sharing my data?

You can stop sharing data at any time. Go to Settings > Agent Sharing and choose 'Cancel'. Your share will end immediately.

How long does sharing last?

Sharing lasts for 90 days by default. You can disable or extend access at any time. We recommend you disable sharing as soon as our team has finished with your account.

Who can see my data?

Only authorised members of the Recap Team can see your data. We restrict access on a strictly need-to-know basis to ensure that data remains private and secure.

Is sharing secure?

Yes, very secure we can only see your data if you share it with us. We use a double-opt-in approach for sharing to ensure that you only ever share data with someone that you know and trust. This approach makes it very difficult to accidentally share your data with the wrong person or a malicious actor.
