Accepting a Client Portfolio Invitation

How to view and respond to a client portfolio invitation in your Recap accountant workspace.

When a client invites you to access their Recap portfolio, you'll see a notification the next time you log in to your workspace.

Viewing and responding to an invitation

  1. Sign in to your Recap account. A Client Portfolio Invitation panel will appear at the top-left of the screen:

  2. Click View Invitation.

  3. Review the invitation details, including who has invited you and which of your workspaces will be accepting access. All members of your workspace will have access to this client's portfolio, so make sure appropriate engagement terms and privacy notices are in place.

  4. Click Accept to grant your workspace access to the portfolio, or Decline to reject the invitation.​

After accepting

Once you accept, the client will appear in your Clients list with a status of Pending activation.

This means the client still needs to activate the share from their end before you can access their portfolio data.


​Once they have accepted you will be able to view the client's portfolio and assign a licence.


​You can remove a client from your account at any time using the ··· menu on their row.
