A Wallet Account lets you import transactions directly from the blockchain by entering your wallet address. Recap fetches your full transaction history automatically and re-syncs periodically to keep it up to date.

Supported blockchains

Recap supports automated wallet imports for a range of blockchains. See our Wallet Integrations collection for the full list and individual setup guides for each.

If your blockchain isn't listed, you can still import your transactions using a Custom Account.

How to add a wallet account

  1. From the Accounts screen, click Add Account at the top right.

  2. Select the Crypto Wallet account type, then press Next.

  3. Choose the required blockchain, then click Next again.

  4. Enter your blockchain address(es) and then click Next to complete the setup. Recap will fetch your transaction history automatically.

How it works

When you add a Wallet Account, Recap reads the transaction history associated with your address directly from the blockchain.

Some wallets use a single address. Others — particularly Bitcoin wallets — generate multiple addresses over time, including change addresses created when sending funds.

This is why it's important to add every address associated with your wallet, not just the primary one.

Important notes

  1. Multiple blockchains: If you've used the same address on multiple blockchains, you must add it separately for each one.

  2. Complete address coverage: Add every address you own to ensure all of your transactions are captured accurately.
