Following the release of Version 1.0 of Recap's cryptocurrency tax calculator, some of our early adopters who used the private beta may want to migrate their data and API connections into the new application. Doing this will allow you to seamlessly integrate with Recap Version 1.0 and means you will not have to reconnect APIs from connected exchanges (Coinbase, Kraken, Bitstamp and more) or reimport historical CSV files from CSV supported exchanges (Binance, Bitfinex, Bithumb and more). This guide is a step-by-step walkthrough of how to do this.

Beta Support

Recap will be discontinuing support for the Beta application immediately to allow us to focus all of our efforts on Version 1.0 of our application. Follow us on twitter to stay updated: @recap_io

Walkthrough

Firstly, download Recap Version 1.0 from our website or by clicking the button below:

Once downloaded, create an account on the Version 1.0 desktop application and open the Recap Beta. Head to the Settings section on the Beta application and click "Export all data to backup file" as shown below.

This will download the backup file which is needed for the migration process. When the backup file has downloaded, open the Version 1.0 application and navigate to the Settings section.

Click on the "Import a backup file" button and select the backup file that you just downloaded. Open this file and the application will immediately start syncing with the API connections and importing data.

Once the import and sync has completed, you will be able to use the Version 1.0 application with all of your data and connections from the Beta application.

Thanks!

We would like to give a big thank you to our early adopters that used the Recap Beta - your feedback and suggestions shaped Version 1.0 into what it is today. We hope you enjoy using it! If you have any questions or feedback, please reach out using the in app support or telegram link below.
