Clicking on any account from the Accounts screen opens the Account Detail screen, giving you a detailed view of that specific exchange, wallet, or custom account.
It is divided into four tabs: Dashboard, Asset Identification, Balance Differences, and Settings. The Balance Differences tab only appears for connected accounts (Exchange API and Wallet accounts).
Dashboard
The Dashboard gives you an overview of the assets and value held within the account. It contains three sections:
Total value history — a graph showing how the total value of the account has changed over time.
Asset balances — a table listing each asset held in the account, including the wallet balance and current value. By default, assets with a zero balance are hidden. Use the Show zero balances toggle to display them. The Show spam toggle lets you show or hide assets flagged as spam.
Asset split — a pie chart showing the composition of the account by asset.
Asset Identification
This tab shows how each asset in the account is mapped in Recap. Correct asset mapping is important for accurate pricing and tax calculations.
For custom accounts, you can edit the mapping for any asset by clicking the Edit button next to it and selecting the correct asset from the dropdown.
For connected accounts, if any assets are incorrectly mapped please contact us via in-app support and we'll resolve it as soon as possible.
Balance Differences
Recap calculates your asset balances from the transactions in the account and compares these to the balances reported by your wallet. If the balances do not match, this may indicate that you have interacted with some inflationary/rebase tokens.
For more help, see our guide on Balance Differences.
Settings
General
Account name — set a name for easy reference.
Account mode — controls how the account contributes to Recap:
Active — the default. The account contributes to tax and portfolio calculations and receives automatic updates where applicable.
Archived — the account is moved to the Archived section. It still contributes to tax and portfolio calculations but will no longer receive automatic updates. Use this for accounts you no longer use actively but want to keep them out of sight.
Ignored — the account and its transactions are entirely disregarded. It won't update or contribute to tax or portfolio calculations. Use this instead of deleting an account when you want to test new features.
Set taxable start date — when enabled, transactions before this date will still be displayed but excluded from tax calculations.
Set taxable end date — when enabled, transactions after this date will still be displayed but excluded from tax calculations.
Actions
Resync transactions — resyncs all transactions for this account rather than just new ones. Useful after a bug fix where some transactions may not have synced correctly. This will not remove any existing transactions. (Connected accounts only.)
Reset market prices — clears market prices for all transactions in this account and forces them to be repriced. Manually set prices will not be reset.
Delete account — permanently deletes this account.
