Recap's Agent Sharing allows users to securely share their crypto data with an Agent (such as an Accountant, Tax Advisor or Wealth Manager).

If you’d like to know more about how sharing works or you’ve got questions you can book a discovery call with our team.

Registering to become an Agent is quick and simple:

  1. Head over to app.recap.io and create an account. You can use an existing account if you prefer. Remember, your account name will be visible to anyone sharing with you and can't be changed later, so ensure it is suitable. A company email address is ideal.

  2. Back up your recovery phrase. You must back up your recovery phrase to be registered as an agent. Make sure you store this in a safe place, if you forget your recovery phrase there is no way for us to recover your data.

  3. Contact our team to let us know that you would like to become an Agent detailing the email you use to log in. Use the in-app chat or ping us an email: support@recap.io. Approval typically takes less than 24 hours.

  4. That's it! We’ll let you know as soon as your request to become an Agent is accepted. You will be able to receive sharing invitations from clients immediately.

Who can register to be an Agent?

Our team reviews each agent application individually. There are no fixed rules on who can be an agent - typically this would be an accountant, tax advisor, wealth manager or other consulting professional working with crypto clients.

How long does registration take?

We typically approve applications within 24 hours. We may need to speak with you before we can approve your application - we’ll drop over an email if so.

How much does it cost to be an agent?

There is no charge to become an agent. Clients must have a paid plan in order for you to download their tax reports.
